Nusa was all over our feeds for a brief while when it launched. Then it ratings crashed and finally some level of sanity prevailed after a few months. At which point, we decided to brave the Varthur traffic and make our way to the outskirts of our burb.
Nusa does have the ‘dirty pond’ style that is now a diktat for all breweries, but is one of the more elegant ones. There are plenty of different seating options, and they have live music events happening quite a bit.
Judging by the waiting crowds we see when we exit, it’s probably a good idea to reserve.

They didn’t have their own beer both times we visited, so we usually ended up with Geist.

Or some of their cocktails – the Old Fashioned and the Hot Toddy are not too bad.

The second time we visited, there were a bunch of specials – Ayam Pelalah – a traditional Balinese shredded chicken dish which was spicy enough to keep us happy.

The Raw Mango & Thai Chilli Chicken dimsum was not the best. It was a mango special, so you’re unlikely to find it.

I can’t find this Chilli Chicken in the menu now, but it was quite good. To the extent we repeated it.

The Banjara Kabab was just so-so.

I remember this being fusion and horrible! Again, I cannot see it on the menu now. Seems like Nusa keeps changing the menu! Why am I even writing this?

The Paprika Grilled Chicken Pizza continues to exist, and we really liked it.

A meal for two, with drinks, would cost you in the range of Rs.2500-3000. If you go early enough, you’re likely to get a good seat. And a 50% chance (from our experience of 2) of hearing some good live music.
Don’t make the trip only for this. But if you’re nearby, this can be one of your haunts.
