Yes, I am one of those who use #wanderlust on Instagram. Pico said it best, “We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel next to find ourselves.”

Asia
Our first vacations were in Goa, mostly because of the two years I spent there, pretending to get a PGDM. Leh, in 2009, was the game-changer that opened our minds to travel. Since then, we have seen the Taj Mahal and travelled to the Andamans, Sikkim, Meghalaya, and taken mini-breaks in Connoor, Coorg, Agonda (Goa) and even been tourists in our own homeland – Kerala!
Our first trip with a passport was Sri Lanka in 2010, and was followed by Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bhutan, Turkey and Japan.
Europe
Greece, in 2014, was our first port of call. Eastern Europe and Scandinavia is what we have preferred since then – Czechia, Croatia (for GoT), Estonia, Sweden and Norway, since the Northern Lights was a bucket list item. Malta, for the first season of GoT. Scotland (and Ireland) because well, every other place claims to be Scotland of x! And most recently, Spain.
Africa
A small list thus far, but more to come for sure. Morocco was for GoT , and Jemaa el-Fnaa in Marrakesh, from a favourite book from long ago. And Seychelles, for the loveliest beaches.
Australia
Australia was our last trip before Covid hit. We will most definitely be back in this part of the world, because… New Zealand!
