Success measures

Kaamyaab, a movie that I immensely liked for many reasons, once again brought up thoughts on how one defines success. Even when one has moved past societal notions and is only locking horns with self-image, the path is reasonably unclear. I thought I had moved ahead by a step, but came upon a bunch of challenges there too!

A space-time freedom continuum

An excellent comment from my previous post on self image, signals and the future, made me think deeper on the specifics of my plans. While a large part of this was about how and where one spends one’s time, I realised there is at least one more layer to this. That was a broader definition of freedom, and it comes with its own set of challenges.

Classes Apart

The divide of 1% and 99% is giving way to a more layered class war that pitches the top 0.1% against what remains of the top 10%. The exponential power of capital against the incremental mobility of the professional class. As more and more are denied access across multiple levels, where will it drive society towards?

April flu!

Covid19! As I watched people bang vessels, while washing mine, mopped the floor while waiting for the Sensex to please find one(!), and swept rooms while the lockdown enforced some sweeping changes, I also tried to step back and take a look – outwards and inwards – at what’s happening!
