Blogger…

Its that time of the year again…. and i have been seeing a lot of guys taking a sabbatical from blogging, hopefully they’ll return… reminds me of the last wave of goodbye in school, hoping your friends will be there next year too – to share chocolates, to play pranks, to fight,to belong… i guess we still are the same children, hoping to still retain our small comforts while the rest of the things around us change.. and somewhere down the line, moving on, making new friends, making new comfort zones, hoping we will never have to move out of them..
and thus we are – kids who are software engineers, kids who are advertising or marketing pros, kids who are married and who have their own kids, kids who are out to discover their dreams, and perhaps fulfil them – who would have nothing in common except for the thoughts they share, the music they like, the issues they talk about, kids who may not know each other if they met on the streets.. kids with nothing in common, except their blogs…
and thus its maybe only that commonness that keeps me going, for in a life where everything else changes, and everyone changes, this has become a comfort zone .. and when i see ‘1 postscrypt’ and agree or disagree with a parna or a deez or an aqua or an SwB or anyone of you, i feel someone is listening to me… for maybe, at the end of it all, i just want to belong…
until next time, keep blogging..

  1. A very very Happy diwali.

And yes, blogging have become an addiction tome.. the longest greak I ever took was maybe a week or two

  2. hey manu.. i know i know i have been so out and away.. i also see i have slid down the list 🙂 i do not even know whether i am taking this break on purpose or what.. somewhat confused.. but it should sort it self out i guess.. tc..aqua

  3. The amount of time I spend online draws quite a bit of comment from friends and family these days. What is really unique about the blogging space is the ability to connect with such a diverse array of people without the filters that we typically have in place – you know, age, background, similar professions, similar interests etc. I hardly glance at the profiles of the people whose blogs I visit … it’s most often just their writing that I respond to. In some cases we turn out to have similar backgrounds and interests, but in many cases I find something to connect with without having anything obviously ‘in common’.

  4. very true manu! this has indeed become a comfort zone. Sometimes I think it’s abnormal that doing a blog post relaxes me after a hard day … and I’d hate having to give it up! *tight hug*

    cheers mate!

  5. I like to think of blogging as a hobby, but in truth it’s more of a habit. But a wonderful one, that has allowed me limitless creative expression and has introduced me to so many wonderful people, yourself included 🙂

  6. Happy Diwali Manu Man 🙂

and you put so well and without wasting words, going right to the crux of the matter. somehow i always think of self as still a kid who somehow has to face responsibilities of an adult. like you said – get a job, search for realisation of our dreams, get married, have children of our own. sometimes it can be overwhelming or just-too-much 🙂 but then again, the show must go on. and so it does.

    have a light-filled year.
