Expectations? Surely you’re joking!
With all of my experiences and relationships thus far in life, I have made a framework for myself which defines my interaction model with the world at large. This is how it works.
Travelling In, Travelling Out
A travel book after a while. I liked how the book takes travel beyond the literal and conventional meaning of the word. There are all kinds of journeys in here – the simple physical movement from one place to another, to the exploration of the self within, “thought to thought”, seeing things in a different light and so on.
The Reunion Club
The restaurant in Whitefield formerly known as The Riverside Bar & Kitchen, minus a key ingredient – alcohol. They make sure you understand that clearly before you step in! Surprisingly good food, friendly service and a lighter bill courtesy Zomato Gold. Butter Chicken Bunny Chow is the must-have dish.
This was a Man
A fitting finale to the Clifton Chronicles. The entire series gives an excellent perspective of the changing order of the world in terms of society’s basic characteristics – its behavior, consumption, worldview. This book is vintage Archer – good twists, and humaneness without over-dramatisation.
