Stockholm
Stockholm was our first stop during the 12 day trip to see the Northern Lights. We spent three days here with Gamla Stan serving as our base. Among other things, we visited museums, went on a little subway art treasure hunt, and a quick city bus tour called Stockholm Panorama.
XOOX Brewmill
XOOX tries to balance an old world elegance with a modern lounge feel, and succeeds in parts. The brews go beyond the standard fare available elsewhere, and the food menu has some interesting options as well. But the skeptic in me remains unconvinced, so best visit quickly before a downslide begins.
The ocean at the end of the lane
You can read this book literally or read into the symbolism at play. Either way, it is an interesting read, though the latter obviously becomes more enriching because of the various themes involved. It also raises interesting questions on what our memories really are.
