The sequel to Daemon, this book picks up right after its predecessor and sets a scorching pace. It manages to bring up several contemporary themes like extreme capitalism, mass unemployment, neo-feudalism, cyber communities and such. The author continues to make it all seem plausible, and that’s what makes it a good read.
Evolving against entropy
As businesses become more complex in their value propositions to customers, its systems get hit by entropy. Chaos becomes common and disorder is the default. Ultimately, this will lead to a collapse, but is it possible to delay the inevitable? What can an organisation do?
The Yellow Submarine
I think this microbrewery has an apt name. The beer and the general hygiene both reach depths that we rarely experience. They also have only a limited menu until 6.30 PM. That’s probably a blessing. The only good thing was the wind, there was nothing else to be blown away by!
