Oslo
Our days in Oslo featured arrivals and departures more than anything else. But we took some time to drink local craft beer, and see a few lovely sights.

Tromso was our main destination – because this is where we would see the Northern Lights. Despite a scare, we did catch a spectacular show. We also did a bunch of other things – dog sledding, a fantastic view thanks to a cable car ride, reindeer sledding – 3 days well spent!
We stayed in Bergen just for a day but fell in love with the place. The cable car was a highlight and gave us a grand view of Norway’s second largest city. On the next day, we took the Norway in a Nutshell tour, to see the fjords and travel the Flam Railway, a picturesque ride!
Tallinn was an absolute delight. We had a little over a day here and only spent time in the Old Town. But that had more than enough things to keep us interested and entertained. It’s an extremely pretty place, and being decked up for Christmas only added to its charm!
Stockholm was our first stop during the 12 day trip to see the Northern Lights. We spent three days here with Gamla Stan serving as our base. Among other things, we visited museums, went on a little subway art treasure hunt, and a quick city bus tour called Stockholm Panorama.
