Angiras’ son Sudhanva and Prahlad’s son Virochana had an argument over Keshini. Sudhanva was a brahmin and Virochana an asura. Virochana argued that an asura was worthier than a brahmin. They wagered their lives and approached Prahlad for resolving the issue. Prahlad decreed that a brahmin was worthier, but since he had been fair, Sudhanva spared Virochana’s life. But Sudhanva made Virochana wash his feet in front of Keshini, and then married her as per Mahabharata Udyogaparva Chapter 35.
