Charudeshna (1)

A son of Krishna and Rukmini. As per Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 185, he was present at Draupadi’s swayamwar. He killed Vivindhya as per Mahabharata Vanaparva Chapter 16 verse 26.

Charugupta

A son born to Krishna and Rukmini. His nine brothers were Pradyumna, Charudeshna, Sudeshna, Charudeha, Sucharu, Bhadracharu, Charuchandra, Aticharu, Charu. He also had a sister named Charumati as per Bhagavata Dashamaskanda. But as per Mahabharata Anushasanaparva Chapter 4 verse 59, the sons of Krishna and Rukmini were Charuyashas, Charuvesha, Charushrava.

Charu

Also known as Charuchitra. A Kaurava who was killed by Bhima at Kurukshetra as per Mahabharata Dronaparva Chapter 136.

Chamara

A symbolism (prop) used by brahmins and kings. The king’s chamara is on a golden rod and is amde of swan, peacock or other bird feathers. A combination of feathers of different birds is not allowed. The number of spokes in this circular object is to be 3-8 as per Agnipurana Chapter 245.

Chapayajna

A ceremony for worshiping the bow. Kamsa had used this as an excuse to invite Krishna to Mathura, but was killed by Krishna as per Bhagavata Dashamaskanda.
