A snake born in Airavata’s dynasty. He was killed in Janamejaya’s sacrifice as per Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 57 verse 11.

A sage who was a friend of Shringi. He underwent many hardships for the sake of dharma and hence got the name. Once Parikshit dropped a dead snake on the neck of Shringi’s father. Krisha informed Shringi as per Mahabharata Adiparva Chapters 41,42.
