Kuru (2)
Swayambhvamanu’s other son Priyavrata also had a Kuru in his dynasty. Priyavrata married Barhishmati and their sons were Agnidhra, Idmajihva, Yajnabahu, Mahavira, Hiranyareta, Ghritaprishta, Sava, Medhathithi, Vitihotra, Kavi, Urjaswati, Uttama, Tamasa, Raivata. Agnidhra married Purvachitti and their sons were Nabi, Kimpurusha, Hari, Ilavrata, Ramyaka, Hiranmaya, Kuru, Bhadrashwa, Ketumala. Kuru married Nari as per Vishnupurana.
Kuru (1)
A king born in Dhruva’s dynasty.
Antecedents: Vishnu – Brahma – Swayambhuvamanu – Uttanapada – Dhruva – Shishti – Ripu – Chakshusha – Chakshushamanu – Kuru.
Kuru was an ancestor of the famous king Vena and the emperor Pridhu. Kuru had ten brothers – Puru, Ooru, Shatadyumna, Tapasvi, Satyavak, Shuchi, Agnishtu, Athiratha, Sudyumna, Abhimanyu. Kuru had seven sons from his wife Aatreyi – Anga, Sumanas, Swati, Kritu, Angiras, Gaya, Shibi. Anga married Sunidha and their son was Vena. Vena’s son was Pridhu. To Pridhu was born Antardhana, Vadi, Suta, Magadha, Palita. Antardhana married Shikhandini and their son was Havirdhana. Havirdhana in turn married Dhishna and their six sons were Prachinabarhis, Shukra, Gaya, Krishna, Vrija, Ajina as per Vishnupurana Ansh 1 Chapter 13.
Monkey
Kashyapa married the daughters of prajapati Daksha, one of whom was Krodhavasha. They had ten daughters, one of whom was Hari. From Hari were born lions and monkeys as per Ramayana Aranyakanda Sarga 14 verse 24.

One of the mountains surrounding Meru as per Devibhagavata Ashtamaskanda.
Kurangakshetra
A holy place. Bathing here and meditating for threed ays grants a person salvation as per Mahabharata Anushasanaparva Chapter 25.

Kumbhipaka
One of the 28 narakas. Kumbhipaka is the naraka for those who kill and eat other living beings. There are huge vats of hot oil here and those who end up in this naraka are immersed and pulled out these vats alternately. This lasts for as many years as the number of hairs on the dead beings’ bodies as per Devibhagavata Ashtamaskanda.

A daughter born to Vishwavasu and Anala. A rakshasa named Madhu abducted and then married her and their son was Lavanasura.
