A region in ancient India. It was conquered by Sahadeva as per Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 31 verse 16. Modern historians believe it to be on the banks of the river Vena.

Katyayani
One of Yajnavalkya’s two wives. As per Brihadaranyakopanishad, when Yajnavalkya withdrew from worldly dealings, he asked his wives to share the tasks equally. But since Maitreyi was more interested in spiritual knowledge, it was completely taken up by Katyayani.

Kanabhuti
A pisacha. In his earlier incarnation, he was known as Supratika. Supratika once befriended a pisacha named Sthulashiras. Kuber was angered and made Supratika a pisacha. He began living in the Vindhyas. When this story was told to Gunaddhya, Kanabhuti was able to regain his old form.
