A famous asura born to Kashyapa and Danu. Viprachitti, Shambara, Namuchi, Puloma, Vishruta, Durjaya, Ayashiras, Ketu, Rishaparva, Ashwagriva, Virupaksha, Nikumbha, Kapata, Ekapat were his brothers as per Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 65.
