Aangirasakalpa
A samhita portion of Adharvaveda. Five samhitas are important -Nakshatrakalpa, Vedakalpa, Samhitakalpa, Aangirasakalpa, Shantikalpa and they have been written by Munjikesha. The Nakshatrakalpa is about worshipping the stars, Vedakalpa about the kriyas for Brahma, Samhitakalpa has mantras, Aangirasakalpa has sorcery and Shantikalpa has shanti mantras for horses and elephants, as per Vishnupurana Ansh 3 Chapter 6.
Aangirassi
The chaste wife of a brahmin. An Ikshvaku king named Kanmashapada became a rakshasa because of a curse from Shakti, son of Vasishta. This rakshasa devoured Aangirasi’s husband. She was furious and cursed that the rakshasa would die if he touched his wife. This was why Kanmashapada had to take Vasishta’s help to get an heir, as per Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 181 verses 16-22.

A king in ancient India, as per Mahabharata Shantiparva Chapter 123 verses 13-14.
Aagneyi
The wife of Manu’s son Puru.
Dhruva had 2 sons with Shambhu named Shishti and Bhavya. Shishti and his wife Suchaya had 5 peerless sons – Ripu, Ripunjaya, Vipra, Vrikala, Vrikatejas. Ripu’s wife Brihati gave birth to Chakshusha. Chakshusha married Pushkarini, who belonged to Marutta’s dynasty and was the daughter of Virana prajapati. Their son was Manu. Ten sons were born to Manu and his wife Nagdhvala – Ooru, Puru, Shatadyumna, Tapasvi, Satyavak, Kavi, Agnishtu, Athirathra, Sudyumna, Atimanyu according to Agnipurana Chapter 18. Puru’s wife was called Aagneyi and they had six sons – Anga, Sumanas, Khyati, Kratu, Angiras, Shibi. The child born to Anga and Suneedha was Vena, as per Vishnupurana Ansh 1 Chapter 13.
Aagneyashastra
Once, Arjuna fought the gandharva Angaraparna on the banks of the Ganga, at night. He then mentioned the importance of this astra. He said that it had been given to Bhardwaja by Brihaspati, and itw as given to Arjuna by Drona as per Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 170 verses 29-30.
Aagnivesha
Also known as Agnivesha. A sage who received an armor and the mantra to use it from Brihaspati. He was an expert in archery and was Drona’s guru, as per Mahabharata Dronaparva Chapter 94 verses 67-68.
Aakrosha
A king in ancient India, who ruled Mahothadesha. Nakula defeated him, as per Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 32 verses 5-6.
Aakritiputra
Another name for Aakriti’s son Ruchiparva. He fought on the Pandava side in the Mahabharata war and was killed by Bhagadatta as per Mahabharata Dronaparva Chapter 27 verses 40 -47.

A king in ancient India who ruled Saurashtra, as per Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 31 verse 61.
