Aajyapa

A pitrgan of the Pulaha dynasty. They are called so because they consume Aajya (ghee made from goat’s milk) in sacrifices, as per Matsyapurana. They live in Kardama Prajapati’s domain, and their daughter Viraja was Nahusha’s wife, as per Padmapurana Srishtikanda.

Aajagava

The bows of Maandaata and Pridhu, as well as Arjuna’s Gandiva are also known as Aajagava, as per Mahabharata Vanaparav Chapter 126 verses 33-34, Dronaparav Chapter 145 verse 94 and Vishnupurana Ansh 1 Chapter 13.
