Anudruhyu

Son of Yayati.

Antecedents: Vishnu – Brahma – Atri – Chandra – Budha – Pururavas – Aayus – Nahusha – Yayati – Anudruhyu.

Yayati had two sons with Devayani – Yadu and Turvasu, and three sons with Sharmishta – Druhyu, Anudruhyu and Puru, as per Agnipurana Chapter 12.

Anudyutaparva

A chapter in Sabhaparva (Mahabharata). It details the game of dice between Yudhishtira and Duryodhana. (Dyuta means the game of dice)

Anudaata (1)

An agni called Panchajanya created the spirits called Anudaata. As per Mahabharata Vanaparva Chapter 220 verse 8, he created them from his hands using his energy. As per Mahabharata Vanaparva Chapter 220 verse 10, five spirits were created.

Anuchakra

Twashta, a prajapati sent two attendants to help Skanda. According to Mahabharata Shalyaparva Chapter 45 verse 40, one was Chakra and the other Anuchakra.

Anukramanikaparva

Vyasa’s Mahabharata has 18 parvas. The first – adiparva has many sub categories, of which the first is Anukramanikaparva. In this chapter, Ugrashravas (also known as Sutananda), son of Lomaharshana, comes to Shaunaka’s twelve year long satra in Naimisharanya and starts narrating the Mahabharata. It includes the narration of how Vyasa started writing the epic, the creation of the universe, Vyasa’s teachings, as well as the importance of Bharata.
